Why? Why? Why do we all pay so much for games now?
The real reason is the corporate companies know we want to play it and they pay a lot in ads, to youtubers to promote, and to the marketing of their games to companies like target, Walmart and GameStop just to name a few. I have been playing games for 30+ years and still I am amazed at the price hikes.
It all started with the Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, if you remember the games cost $20, then $30 and then even $40 per 1 game. but after each 4 years and a new system that's where we start to see that hike, every 4 years $10 more but wait what happened in 2023 Omg they have been so greedy, they decided to even to raise the games price even more.
$69.99 don't forget the extras you may have to pay in game if you want too, which well we do.
But shouldn't those extras be part of the game? I understand that they provide services they have been providing for years, where does it all go and if not to the software engineers where? Well now games are different. upgraded graphics brings on a lot of extra areas of game development, Sound, actors, graphics, artist, musicians, producers (a lot like movie producers now).
Ok I don't want to make it sound like I'm helping their cause because I know the only reason they are paying these actors is because they want to bring in more gamers and more purchases through the world, yes the world, all games go worldwide, well the areas that don't allow the games in question are a bit different but still a lot of money in the gaming industry for sure. A video will be entered later, enjoy for now and let's talk about this more.
I am settling up an area for everyone to add their imput.
